He said with a simple nod clearly pleased to see her reaction, he knew she had a comeback that wouldn't be used since she had been the chosen deputy. "Star clan watches us, we are all they have left to guide so I doubt they have much else to do but watch an hope we can survive." He said.
Springfoot
"Congratulations." She said to the new deputy. A pit of jealousy in her stomach but she quickly shook away the feeling, she wasn't fit to lead so let the others lead themselves to doom.

I almost dip my head to Springfoot, but then I remember that is a sign of equals. I nod instead and look to Hawkstar. "Then I accept." I say loudly, firmly. I turn back to Springfoot. "I'm sorry this couldn't be you." I say, my gaze almost returning to flint.

"Alright, is there anything else we need? Any news from anyone? If not then this meeting is over." He called. His eyes scanned the clan to see if anyone was to make an announcement of any kind hunting information, kits, praise, anything.

I blinked up at him, pausing and wondering whether to share anything about the prophecy to the cats. I padded forward and simply said "Hawkstar, and my clanmates. There is a darkness coming.... Be ready to face it." With that, I walked to my den and buried myself in counting herbs, not wanting questions.
Shadeheart
I ripple of fear passes through me as the medicine cat announces there is a darkness coming, but it is replaced by anger. Why share that now? Why frighten the entire clan? I growl slightly and flex my claws, but return to my kits and try to pretend if nothing has happened.

He blinked. That was what was bothering Amberleaf earlier. Why had she announced it to the clan, they needed to not be fearful but have courage. He sighed and said,"Alright can I get a hunting patrol sent out? That will be all the patrols for the rest of the day, everyone should rest and relax." He then went into his den to think. 'Should they move? Away from their home and what they all knew and loved? Not yet..' He thought to himself.

I caught a sharp glance from Shadeheart and when she tried to say something to me I just flicked my tail for her to follow. At the entrance to Hawstar's den I paused and called out "May I come in?"

I whipped in angrily, letting Shadeheart in after me. She had given her kits to another queen for a moment. "It is a medicine's cat choice to tell you her prophecy. All I will tell you is there is a darkness coming.. And." I said, shuttering intensely. "It's because a misjudgment made another misjudgment which lead to a jealousy not even a steel wall could contain..." I sent him the vision of the blood, and Firestar's voice.

He shivered and then said when it ended,"I never knew it was that bad. I was wondering if you two agree maybe we should move and find new territory, away from thunder paths, and the two legs who threaten us every single season it seems. What do you two believe we ought to do!" He asked.

She looked around,"Anyone up for a hunting patrol?" She called.

I looked up at Springfoot. "I will. Get someone else to go to." I ordered. I was deputy... that meant I had some authority over others but I didn't use it all of the time. I treated my clan mates as if I was their litter mates and I favored them all in their ways.

She nodded and felt annoyed at being ordered around like so. "Fine." She said even though she had organized the hunting patrol, another cat-Frostfire, was ordering her around. She shook her head,"Hunting patrol, anyone at all?" She asked.
